Weekly Summary · SpicyChillySoft
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern access to and use of Weekly Summary, an invitation-only service provided in Victoria, Australia by SpicyChillySoft (SpicyChillySoft, we, us or our).
Please read these Terms carefully. They contain important information about how Weekly Summary handles information from connected Google accounts, shares a combined digest with a trusted group and uses third-party services, including artificial intelligence.
You may use Weekly Summary only if we invite you and you accept these Terms in writing by email before connecting your Google account. By accepting, you agree to be bound by the version of the Terms provided with the invitation.
If you do not agree, do not connect a Google account or use Weekly Summary. Authorising Google access alone does not replace the required written acceptance.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms. You may connect only a Google account that you own or are authorised to connect.
Calendar events and tasks can contain information about other people. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority to allow that information to be processed and shared as described in these Terms. Do not connect an account or calendar if doing so would breach another person's rights, confidentiality obligations, workplace policies or applicable law.
Weekly Summary retrieves selected information for the coming week and creates an email digest containing calendar events, tasks, weather forecasts, public transport disruptions and local bin-collection information. The service may also create a short AI-generated narrative highlighting notable parts of the week.
The service is provided to one trusted, invitation-only group. It is not a private digest for each participant. Information from all connected accounts is combined into a single digest and sent to the email address configured for the group (the Group Recipient).
By accepting these Terms, you expressly agree that information retrieved from your connected account may appear in that combined digest and be disclosed to the Group Recipient. You should accept an invitation only if you know and trust the group and the Group Recipient. Contact us before connecting your account if you are unsure who will receive the digest.
Weekly Summary requests read-only access to:
Weekly Summary does not use these permissions to create, edit or delete Google Calendar events or Google Tasks. Access is used only to provide and maintain the weekly digest, provide support requested by you, protect the security of the service and comply with applicable law.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness or provide it to data brokers.
Google is not a party to these Terms and does not sponsor or endorse Weekly Summary. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's own terms and policies.
To provide Weekly Summary, information is processed by the following service providers:
We permit service providers to process information only for the functions required to operate the service, subject to their applicable terms and data-handling practices. A separate privacy policy describes in more detail how information is accessed, used, stored, shared and deleted.
We do not routinely read the contents of your connected calendars or tasks. We may access limited information when reasonably necessary to resolve a support or security issue with your agreement, or when required by law.

Weekly Summary is currently provided without charge. We may introduce optional paid features or a paid service in the future, but we will disclose the price, billing terms and applicable cancellation rights in advance and obtain your separate agreement before charging you. Continued use of the current free service, by itself, does not authorise a charge.
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Weekly Summary software, design, branding and service materials. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service while you remain an invited participant.
You retain any rights you have in information from your connected account. These Terms give us only the rights reasonably necessary to access, process and disclose that information as described here and in the privacy policy.
If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or payment, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.
Weekly Summary is a small, invitation-only service and may be unavailable, delayed or changed. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, a particular delivery time, permanent availability of any feature or compatibility with every Google account configuration.
The service depends on third-party APIs and platforms that we do not control. Their outages, policy changes, rate limits or errors may prevent some or all information from appearing in a digest. We may modify, suspend or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, maintenance or changes to a third-party service.
Where practicable, we will give advance notice of a material reduction or discontinuation of the service.
The AI narrative, weather forecasts, transport disruptions, bin-collection information and other digest content may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. AI-generated text can misunderstand source information or produce incorrect statements.
You must check important information against the original calendar, task list or authoritative provider. Weekly Summary is a convenience tool and does not provide legal, financial, medical, safety, transport or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as the sole source for urgent or important decisions.
You may stop participating at any time by emailing support@spicychillysoft.com. You may also revoke Weekly Summary's Google access through your Google Account connections page.
Revoking Google access prevents new information from being retrieved but may not delete configuration or information already processed. To request deletion, email us from an address we can reasonably associate with you and identify the connected account.
Within 30 days after receiving and verifying a withdrawal or deletion request, we will stop future processing of the connected account and delete its stored OAuth credentials and service configuration. We may retain limited records for longer only when reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud or address a security incident. Information already delivered in a group email cannot be remotely deleted from recipients' mailboxes; you may need to ask the Group Recipient to delete it.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we reasonably believe that you have materially breached these Terms, created a security or legal risk, or used the service in a way that could harm another person, the trusted group or a service provider. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to respond.
We may also end the service for operational reasons by giving reasonable notice where practicable. On termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should continue—including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law and previously authorised processing—survive termination.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Subject to those non-excludable rights, Weekly Summary is provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not make additional warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or fit for a purpose that you have not disclosed to us.
Where the Australian Consumer Law permits us to limit a remedy for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee relating to services, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the affected services again or paying the cost of having equivalent services supplied again.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any non-excludable statutory right.
Subject to the previous paragraph and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from your failure to verify important information against an authoritative source.
For all other claims connected with the free service, our total aggregate liability is limited to AUD 100. This limitation does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by our negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, security requirements or third-party services. We will identify the effective date and version of each update.
We will send material changes to your last known email address before they take effect. If a change materially expands how we use or share Google user data, or materially increases your obligations, we will ask you to accept the updated Terms before applying that change to your information. Changes that are purely administrative or are required urgently for security or law may take effect on notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the courts of Victoria and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them. Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising a right to bring a claim in another forum available under applicable consumer law.
Before starting formal proceedings, you and we will try in good faith to resolve a dispute by written notice and reasonable discussion. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a statutory complaint process.
If a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a genuine reorganisation or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law and advance notice where required.
These Terms, together with the privacy policy and any additional terms expressly accepted by you, form the agreement governing your use of Weekly Summary. If there is an inconsistency, specific additional terms apply only to the feature they address.
